Our half Geese are cut in half straight down the centre breast bone, this makes them sit perfectly in a roasting tin. They are also ideal if you would prefer your meat cooked on the bone rather than a breast joint making them the perfect choice for a couple or a small party.
Our geese are hatched from a parent flock, and allowed to range freely through the orchards by day. This provides them with the ideal conditions, plenty of shelter & shade and ample of grazing. Their diet consists mainly of grass with a mixed cereal feed. During the autumn, wheat grown on a neighbouring farm is also introduced.This gives the meat a rich flavour and a wonderful yellow skin. Orchard Farm Geese are dry plucked, finished by hand and hung in a chilled store for up to 10 days. This tenderises the meat and allows the full flavour of the bird to develop.
Delivered Fresh To Your Door
The geese are wrapped and boxed in specially designed insulated packaging made from 100% natural wool made by Woolcool. We also ad an ice block to each box. This ensures the birds are kept chilled and quality is maintained during transport to your door.
Orders will be dispatched via overnight courier (APC) on the 21st of December to arrive on the 22nd of December.
Collection from the farm
The geese will be wrapped in grease prove paper and boxed in our own branded box’s.
Orders will be ready for collection on December the 23rd 8am – 6pm.
